Lakeland is located in Central Florida and is halfway between Tampa and Orlando. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Out of state candidates will be considered however, interview expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.

Position Description:

Will design, engineer and implement the logging infrastructure and group policies for all company Brands and Regions. Provide transition instruction, documentation and tier three technical support to the production environment.
Primary responsibility for the engineer and maintenance of SYSLOG services on Unix and/or comparable Windows based server solutions for enterprise logging.
Coordinate the Integration of application logs into the enterprise logging environment and at Corporate. Certify upgrades and patches to current infrastructure. Certify and document security changes and enhancements as necessary. Perform technical tasks such as coding/scripting in Linux/AIX/Windows environment. Maintain windows “plumbing” to support enterprise level applications. Provide consultation to supporting groups for system changes. Provide turnover support for engineering efforts to operational organizations. Develop product quality assurance measurements and auditing.

Required skills/experience:

· 5 or more years experience in information technology with significant work experience Unix (AIX preferred) Systems Administration.
. Windows Server technologies, and Active Directory security experience strongly preferred.
· Intermediate/Advanced programming and scripting skills in Perl, Korn, and Shells.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server operating systems and Group Policies.
· Intermediate internetworking (LAN/WAN/Sniffing/Routers/Switches) troubleshooting skills.
· Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills.
· Knowledge of virtualization software from VMware.
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Compensation: $35/hr - $40/hr W2 only (No Corp to Corp)
